Meet Jake Derr

Founder & Head Coach

Since 1995, Jake Derr has dedicated his career to helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident through science-based fitness coaching.

After working with competitive athletes, professionals, and adults of every age, Jake recognized a common problem: too many people were following generic workout plans that ignored their individual needs.

That realization led to the creation of Inside Out Fitness, a private training facility where every client receives personalized coaching, measurable progress tracking, and a program designed specifically for their body and goals.

With a PhD in Exercise Science and advanced degrees in Sports Medicine and Clinical Nutrition, Jake’s approach is grounded in both science and real-world application. Every program is built around how your body actually works, taking into account your physiology, your goals, and your stage of life.

One of the first things clients discover is that age is not a limitation. With the right plan and guidance, strength, energy, and performance can improve at any stage — whether you’re in your 20s or your 70s.
